Herkimer CSD teacher and technology coordinator Ryan Orilio arranged the event with M.A. Polce Director of Business Development Rick Pollard, after the two met and exchanged ideas at a recent statewide cybersecurity conference in Albany.

Orilio asked, “Have you ever had students visit onsite to learn about real-world technology occupations?”

Pollard responded by explaining how M.A. Polce Chief Executive Officer Mike Polce loves to engage students to help guide them into the technology field.

At the visit, the Herkimer students will tour the facilities, including Polce’s state-of-the-art data center, listen to short presentations from technology and cybersecurity engineers, and engage in an activity to brainstorm ways to bring new technologies to market, according to company officials.
